The Cambridge East Area Action Plan proposes that Marshall's Airport should move out of Cambridge so that 12,000 new houses can be built on the site. Anne said, "I feel strongly that there is a need for more affordable housing in Cambridge, but there are many problems with developing on this site. In particular, the full transport implications have not been assessed in an area of Cambridge where there already existing problems. The proposed development would mean an additional 55,000 trips a day, of which 25% would be during peak hours."
