Anne Campbell Campaigning for Cambridge

Sorted By Anne

Over the last year, Anne and her office have written over 6000 letters and have helped to solve the problems of many Cambridge residents. These have included disputes with neighbours, visa applications, asylum claims, tax credit problems, Child Support Agency cases, and a whole host of other issues. Anne has also answered policy questions raised by people in Cambridge, and taken up concerns with Ministers where appropriate.

Here are some extracts from the thank you letters Anne has received:

"I would like to thank you for the attention you gave my case ... I feel very fortunate that Addenbrooke's is such a fantastic hospital and that I have the support of both my GP and MP. I appreciated the way you kept me informed of the correspondence you were having with the hospital. I suspect you receive more complaints than thanks as people tend to voice their gripes a lot more than their gratitude." Arbury resident

"It was very kind of you to write to the Director of Environment and Planning about the rubbish in the brook. We do appreciate very much your concern on our behalf." Coleridge resident

"I wish to thank you for all your help in following up my dispute with the Student Loans Company ... I am sure my claim would not have been accepted if it had not been for your continued helpful intervention over the last year. I am very grateful for the time and effort you have put into representing my interests and supporting my claim." Cherry Hinton resident

"Thank you for your prompt help and the trouble you have taken to resolve this dispute with my neighbour." Market resident

"I am sorry that I did not reply to your earlier. The last few weeks have been a bit of whirlwind. I very suddenly received notice of my interview date at the US embassy. The process went through and I am now successfully in the US on the fiancee visa. Thank you for all of your assistance and concern. Your staff are wonderful." Former Cambridge resident now in the USA

"When we received notice of a huge mobile phone mast being erected at the end of our street you were the only politician to respond to our protest. The Lib Dems did not even acknowledge us." Email from Cherry Hinton resident
